The Karate Kid
This one's been a long time coming and now the HDYR gang is finally ready to take on those punks from Cobra Kai. It had been ages since any of us had seen The Karate Kid and although we all expected to have a good time with it, we were pretty surprised by just how well-made this original film is.
Topics include: how director John G. Avildsen shot a rehearsal of the entire movie with the principal cast before production officially began, the pervasive belief that Daniel might be the real bully here, the ultra-important scene that the studio wanted to cut, the almost-as-important moment that is missing, how transforming into one of the most memorable antagonists of the 80s effected William Zabka's real life, a round of 2 Truths 1 Lie, and much much more!
